Slate/Startup Bernama Indonesia
Selected cover
Spec sheet
A two-minute vertical short narrated in Indonesian by Agung Bezharie Hadinegoro, with English subtitles. A young founder stares at a blank slide in a Jakarta boarding room at night. When she lifts her eyes, the film cuts 98 years back to a young man in a Batavia boarding house in 1928, drawing a map of the islands by lamplight until a colonial policeman's shadow stops at the shutters and he blows out the lamp. Moving across eras of Indonesian history, each with its own photographic look, the film tells the nation's founding as the story of a startup that nearly died more than once and kept going. A call to Indonesian founders to think bigger.
