Slate/The Last Vacation
Project poster
Spec sheet
During a final holiday in Bali, a pregnant doctor records a series of intimate video messages for the daughter she may never meet. Between beaches, scooter rides and ordinary moments with her partner, memories of a devastating diagnosis reveal the impossible choice she has made. While she moves toward acceptance, he struggles with the prospect of becoming a father while grieving. Her messages imagine the milestones of their daughter's future and offer love without obligation. As sunset returns to the beach, a small necklace engraved with hope becomes a promise that will outlast their last days together.
